Jess Barsotti

Jess was born and raised in Vineland, NJ where he wrestled, played football, and became an Eagle Scout. After high school he went to Boston University where he earned his bachelor of science degree in athletic training in 2006 and his doctorate degree in physical therapy in 2008. During his clinical rotations he had the opportunity to work with the Indiana Pacers, the BU Terrier Ice Hockey Team, and the MIT Engineer Football Team. Jess also assisted as a medical volunteer for the Boston Athletic Association’s 2005 and 2006 Boston Marathons.

Jess worked as a physical therapist in Boston as well as serving as Head Athletic Trainer at Arlington High School before switching to physical therapy full-time. Jess has treated a wide range of sports and orthopedic conditions, and has developed new treatment techniques for plantar fasciitis and sciatica. A member of the American Physical Therapy Association, Jess presented his research on plantar fasciitis to the APTA of Massachusetts in 2015. Jess worked as clinical director of two physical therapy facilities in Boston while also completing a two year fellowship certification in the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists in 2016. Jess has experience working with all types of patient populations including but not limited to sports and work-related injuries, pediatrics, and post-surgical cases, as well as neurological conditions such as Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, and concussions and traumatic brain injuries.

Jess moved to Linwood, NJ with his family in 2019 and spends most of his free time on or in the water at the bay and beach. Jess had first been introduced to dry needling in Massachusetts where he was originally certified in 2013 and practiced for 4 years, but NJ law prevented him from utilizing dry needling again until 2022 when he completed certification through the American Academy of Manipulative Therapy. Jess then went on to complete Intricate Art’s specialist certification and joined the Intricate Art team as an instructor in 2025.
